Business names can be registered or renewed for 1 or 3 years at a time. We will notify you prior to the expiry of your name to ensure you don't forget to renew on time.

Your business name will be instantly reserved at the time of registration and typically approved immediately after. There are some circumstances in which a manual review process is required and this can take up to a few days.

Registry Australia accepts payment for the renewal of your business name up to 60 days prior to its expiry and our system automatically renews the name once it falls within the renewal period 30 days prior to expiry.
